   EDITOR REVIEW:

DOWNTOWN.   Tired of the plain, old bar food? Then turn to Ancheaux's, one of downtown Clemson's more unique luncheries. As name hints, the place offers up a variety of spicy, Creole-inspired numbers like seafood gumbo, but they also shake up things with creations that are Southwestern themed – the grilled chicken burritos are heartily stuffed with beans, salsa, rice, and cheese. The top-seller is a blackened chicken, bacon, and Monterey jack sandwich named the Black Jack, and considering they make all their own bread and most of their spreads from scratch, their sandwiches always have that special, homemade touch.
